Superconducting dome in ferroelectric-type materials from soft mode instability

نویسندگان

چکیده

We present a minimal theory of superconductivity enhancement in ferroelectric-type materials. Simple expressions for the optical mode responsible soft transition are assumed. A key role is played by anharmonic phonon damping which modulated an external control parameter (electron doping or mechanical strain) causing appearance mode. It shown that superconducting critical temperature $T_{c}$ upon approaching ferroelectric from either side due to Stokes electron-phonon scattering processes promoted strong effects.

Molecular Designs for Enhancement of Polarity in Ferroelectric Soft Materials

The racemic oxovanadium(IV) salmmen complexes, [VO((rac)-(4-X-salmmen))] (X = C12C10C5 (1), C16 (2), and C18 (3); salmmen = N,N'-monomethylenebis-salicylideneimine) with "banana shaped" molecular structures were synthesized, and their ferroelectric properties were investigated. These complexes exhibit well-defined hysteresis loops in their viscous phases, moreover, 1 also displays liquid crysta...

Phase competition in trisected superconducting dome.

A detailed phenomenology of low energy excitations is a crucial starting point for microscopic understanding of complex materials, such as the cuprate high-temperature superconductors. Because of its unique momentum-space discrimination, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) is ideally suited for this task in the cuprates, where emergent phases, particularly superconductivity and th...

Sliding Mode Control Design for Hysteretic Ferroelectric Materials

Ferroelectric materials are attractive for use in a wide range of applications due to their unique transduction capabilities. However, taking full advantage of these capabilities requires a control design which accounts for the materials’ inherent hysteretic behavior. A common approach is to partially cancel the hysteretic effects in the system by employing an approximate inversion algorithm in...

Quantum Critical Origin of the Superconducting Dome in SrTiO_{3}.

We expand the well-known notion that quantum criticality can induce superconductivity by proposing a concrete mechanism for superconductivity due to quantum ferroelectric fluctuations. To this end, we investigate the origin of superconductivity in doped SrTiO_{3} using a combination of density functional and strong coupling theories within the framework of quantum criticality. Our density funct...
